Dental Check Ups in Manchester

Dental Check Ups in Manchester

Dental Check Ups Cost

You may assume you should have a dental check-up every 6 months, however some people may not need to go so often. Some people may need more frequent checks.

These routine examinations are a critical part of ensuring long-term oral health and mean your dentist can monitor your oral health and offer advice which is individually tailored to you. We can also monitor any potential or ongoing problems, recommending early interventions that could save you money in the long term.

We ask all of our patients to attend regular check-ups and hygienist appointments

Your dentist should suggest when you should have your next check-up based on how good your oral health is. The time between check-ups can vary from 3 months to 2 years, depending on how healthy your teeth and gums are and your risk of future problems.

Why do I need a dental check-up?

Having a regular dental check-up at Tomas Dental Clinic allows your dentist to see if you have any dental problems and helps you keep your mouth healthy.

Leaving problems untreated could make them more difficult to treat in the future, it’s important to deal with problems early, or ideally, prevent them altogether.

What happens during a dental check-up?

Each check-up, your dentist should:

  1. Examine your teeth, gums and mouth
  2. Ask about your general health and any problems you’ve had with your teeth, mouth or gums since your last visit
  3. Ask about, and give you advice on, your diet, smoking and alcohol use, and teeth-cleaning habits
  4. Discuss with you a date for your next visit

What is restorative dentistry ?

Restorative dentistry can return the natural shape of your teeth, improve your smile and keep the function in the right way.  The most common procedure is the filling of any cavities to help prevent decay or harm to surrounding teeth. Teeth that need to be strengthened can have crowns or caps and missing teeth can be replaced with implants, bridges, or dentures.
